Mode of Action: Glyphosate 71% SG is a non-selective, systemic, post-emergence herbicide that kills weeds by inhibiting the EPSPS enzyme (5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase), which stops essential amino acid synthesis, causing starvation and death within 1-2 weeks. It is rapidly absorbed by green foliage and translocated through the plant to the roots.
